Since 2009 the new models have been few and far between; but Honda is making a statement for 2013 with six new models and the return of the favorites. I had some rumored information on three of the new models but the other three caught me off guard. I did not expect to see this hot new CBR600RR or the way out there Gold Wing based F6B, in addition the retro style CB1100 was a surprise.
As for the new line of 500cc bikes I had caught some of that in the wind and we are not disappointed in what was delivered. The whole point of the new 500cc stuff is price; I share Honda’s vision of a new group of people finding the freedom of motorcycling because they are not priced out of the experience. The CBR 500R has potential to be a great race bike for a budget road racer like myself, the CB 500X will an awesome beginner adventure bike and the CB500F (styled after the compelling CB1000F) is just an all-around useful design. All three come in between $5500 and $6000 in the non ABS models.
Suzuki has released an all-new smaller cc bike in their 2013 lineup as well. Check out the GW250 here!
